Who it's for

The people on the delivery lists are seniors, Holocaust survivors, single parents and the families of reservists. Here is what they are up against.

    01Seniors on a pension

    A pension that stopped covering the week

    Many of the people on the routes are older and live alone. A box at the door means the holiday table is set without a trip to the shop or a choice between food and medicine.

    Survivors who shouldn't have to ask

    Holocaust survivors living alone are among the first names on the list before every holiday. Volunteers bring the food, sit down for lunch at the club, and stay for the company.

    03Single parents

    One income, a full house

    Single parents carry the rent, the children and the holiday on one paycheck. A delivered box frees the week's money for everything else.

    When one parent is called up

    When a parent is away on reserve duty, the other carries the family alone. Food at the door is one less thing to hold together.

Feed Israel raises money in the US for the work in Israel: weekly boxes all year, holiday boxes before every chag, and hot lunches for seniors. Every dollar sent is approved by our board and reported to the IRS.
